Hello, I am planning to come from Bulgaria, to Kusadasi next week, and I want to bring with me my spearfishing equipment. As far as I know I am foreigner and I can not practice spearfishing without a Turksh friend with me. Is that true? Can I buy some kind of spearfishing license?
@icelame welcome to the Spearfishing Turkey Community. Unfortunately, foreigners (tourists) cannot spearfish in Turkey and they can't take a certificate for spearfishing. But, I don't think there will be a strict control. Maybe you can find a friend who lives in Kuşadası and you can go spearfishing with him. İf they stopped you due to control he can tell them about you like "he is my guest and we didn't know this rule about foreigners don't allow to spear in Turkey" something kinds of stuff. I don't think to happen a bad situation 🙂

I think we have some friends in Forum who live in Kuşadası. I guess, one of them will reply to this topic 🙂 if you don't reach someone in the forum you can find someone when you come to Kuşadası.
I suggest you bring your spearfishing stuff with you. When you arrive in Kuşadası you can visit some diving equipment shops and have a chat with people here. I believe that you can find a buddy there. if you need any help feel free to open a new topic on spearfishingturkey.com
